Introducing the "iThink"

The most revolutionary computer in history, iThink allows you to interact with unlimited information, virtual imagery & sound, and even immersive environments, all within your mind!

Every once in a while, a picture of something will appear on the internet with a recognizable brand name, and sends the wrong message. Take this picture I found today. Just to let you know, I’m pretty certain that Steve Jobs is not working on any project called the iThink. I think.

As you can see from this picture, the iThink is a Symbiosis Neural Interface that is designed to (but hopefully never will) link your mind to a computer. How is this possible? With an Intel Fusion Quantum processor, of course! It’s a new chip that can process at the speed of thought, and uses holographic storage options.

There is a lesson to be learned here about placing pictures on the web with corporate logos on them. By the way, I believe this iThink comes not from Mac, but a blog known as Monkey Buddha.

There is another lesson here about letting technology go out of control and wiring a computer to your brain. As soon as I saw this picture, I couldn’t help but think of that classic George Lucas work, THX-1138. Maybe it was the plain grey outfit, or the shaved head, or the potential that a computer could be used in your brain. Either way, it’s pretty creepy.

iThink Technical Specifications

• Size:

1.5 x 1.5 x .5 inches

• Symbiosis™ Neural Interface:
Direct brain-computer link means your mind and computer are one!

• Intel Fusion™ Quantum Processing:
Uses the power of the atom to instantly compute at the speed of thought.

• Holographic Data Storage:
The iThink’s tiny internal holochip has a staggering individual capacity of over 666 Yottabytes (1000^8), for seemingly infinite augmented memory

• Intra-neural Communication:
Mentally allow or block any kind of signal you want to send or recieve instantly over the wireless iThink global network

• Perceptual Immersion:
Images, sound, & other data are projected virtually into your sensory fields by directly connecting into your brain’s activity

• Integrated GPS and Google Earth:
Receive directions and location information anywhere on the planet, and the ability to be located in case of an emergency

Compact disc eraser

You can never be to careful when it comes to destroying or erasing your old, unwanted CD and DVD media, especially considering they may contain critical backup data or other important files. Sure, its fun to break them in half and watch those little pieces go flying across the room, or to hack away at it with a sharp object hoping to add enough dents and dings to render the disc unreadable, but why not just do it the easy way.

Of course with home shredders being more and more powerful, lots will easily shred your CD or DVD, but if you are still stuck with a paper only shredder (myself included) and are getting tired of cleaning up splinters (myself included) from your media then why not try the Disc Eraser.

The Disc Eraser is a small plastic device that not only offers secure data destruction with one quick swipe, it actually guarantees it. Simply insert the disc into the device, fold down the cover and pull the slider quickly across the disc. Sounds easy enough. The Disc Eraser is currently available and retails for $15.99.

Obscura Digital prepares you for a holographic age

The man that you see on the stage in the photo above is a magician. Actually, he’s probably some representative for a company called Obscura Digital, but what he is doing is pure magic.

His little performance involves waving his hands, and images of photos appear before him. The pictures also move with a little motion-controlled telekinesis. The images are holograms, and I would like to think that one day we will all browse through our photos in the same way.

It kind of works like the Microsoft Surface, except that there is no Surface. So what would you call it, the Air? Be sure to see the video of this new technology in action after the jump, because this guy also does this weird trick of drawing with light that you will also need to see to believe.

Although references to this film are beginning to sound a little cliché, I’ve already seen this technology in Minority Report. Tom Cruise was sorting through photos in a similar manner in order to find out a murder suspect.

Of course, like all the real cool new technology, we have very little information about it. So who knows when we are going to have this in our homes, but hopefully, we will have room for it. Heck, I’d build another room for something like this.

Personal Computer in a Pen: P-ISM

Very Interesting for you computer buffs out there
!

---- whaddya think these are?

look closely n' guess what they cud be...

PENS WITH HIDDEN CAMS?????

any wild guesses now?

no clue?...

ladies and gentlemen... congratulations! you've just now looked into the future...

yep that's right! no booing now...

you've seen something that would replace your PC in the near future....

NOW SEE THIS...

In the revolution of miniature of computers, the scientists are ahead with bluetooth technology... See the forthcoming computers within ur pockets ..

This pen sort of instrument produces both the monitor as well as the keyboard on flat surfaces from where you can just carry out the normal operations you do on your desktop.

The concept is outlined as follows on the NEC Design, ltd Web site:

We have visualized the connection between the latest technology and the human, in a form of a pen. P-ISM is a gadget package including five functions: a pen-style cellular phone with a handwriting data input function, virtual keyboard, a very small projector, camera scanner, and personal ID key with cashless pass function. P-ISMs are connected with one another through short-range wireless technology. The whole set is also connected to the Internet through the cellular phone function. This personal gadget in a minimalistic pen style enables the ultimate ubiquitous computing.

So there are 5 pens.

  • 1. CPU Pen
    Function: Computing Engine
  • 2. Communications Pen
Cell Phone, Pressure Sensitive Pointing Device, Pointer and ear piece.Communications using Bluetooth.
  • 3. Display Pen
    LED Projector A4 Size Appx. 1024 X 768
  • 4. Keyboard Pen
Projected keyboard with 3D IR Sensor
  • Camera Pen
    Digital Camera
  • 5. Base
Battery Charger and Mass Storage Device
